Mostly overcast and windy all day Sunday. The forecast rain never really materialized so far. Rained most of the afternoon and evening just a few miles south of here. Monday, and the next two days all have a chance of rain with lots of clouds around. Monday morning fog did not materialize here. Afternoon high temperatures are forecast to be in the mid 50F range, just about seasonal.
One of our favorite golf courses sent me a two for one weekday coupon, so hoping to get in a last round of the year Wednesday afternoon.
Spotted a transient boat with 4 fishermen in it illegally fishing for trout over the weekend. One of those times you wish that a CO was on the lake.
Had an update from a neighbor on the Bell fiber optic project. Several steps still to go. Cottagers will be asked by Bell if they want to hook up their cottage to the new pedestals installed this summer. The hookup is free, so no reason to say no. Saying yes does not commit you to taking service. Then it is estimated that sometime next summer crews will work their way around the lake to do the fiber terminations in each pedestal. The preliminary target is to have the system lit by late summer 2027, but lots of variables.

The fishing seasons and regulations for this area (zone 15) remain the same as recent years. They are on pages 104-114 of the regulations book. Bass started on June 27 and ends November 30. Trout started January 1 and ended September 30 with the slot size of 16 to 21 inches to be returned to the lake. It is a one-line lake for ice fishing.
